Earning a living

William Crick was often seen advertising in the newspaper with auctions, this one they seem to be selling a variety of different items, not just plants.

Isaac carried on the business and here is one of his plant sales.  In the newspapers there are reports of Isaac charging people with theft of strawberries, walnuts and potatoes.

Isaac appears in Kellys directory and Post Office as either a market gardener; nurseryman; or farmer always at Houghton Park Gardens.  But starting in 1864 he is a gardener and seedsman in Church Street.

Thomas Crick appears in 1898 as a Grocer in Bedford street and Dunstable Street, and I am guessing would be Isaac's son.

Assume this to be I and not J Crick

Henry is selling up the business, and looks like no further family members to take it on.

Not much in the papers about items for sale once the Cricks had sold up.
